Gaza

United for Peace and Justice condemns the ongoing violence and calls for an immediate end of US funding for Israeli Occupation and the current offensive going on in the Gaza Strip.    These organization offer a variety of resources  and do what you can to stop the blood shed and end the occupation.

According to a UN email as of August 5 After 29 excruciating days of devastating violence in Gaza:

  • Over 1,800 Palestinian lives have been lost, 85% innocent civilians;
  • Nearly 30% of the entire population is displaced;
  • 375,000 children require immediate psycho-social support;
  • Most of the population has no or very limited access to water and electricity;
  • The health system is on the verge of complete collapse.

The United States funds this war and the ongoing occupation.  As Congress is on break we call on people across the United States to visit, protest and demand a change in US policy.

The media has been complicit as well.  Write letters, call your editor or organize a protest. Consider bringing or reading those who have been killed.
