Be the Peace You Want to See Rally and Walk for Peace
Saturday, October 27th 2007 11:30
Santa Barbara, CA USA

Join in a “Not protest as usual” Rally and Walk for peace in solidarity with cities around the world to end the war and prevent a new war. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes that show their support for peace. On Saturday, October 27, at 11:30 a.m., people will gather at Vera Cruz Park across from the Farmer’s Market (130 E. Cota Street) for sign-making, and a short rally at noon with speakers and musicians. Win the award for the best and most relevant peace costume at noon! Peace-makers will then disperse and walk through Santa Barbara in small groups, singing, performing, and sharing their perspective in handouts. Sponsored by the People’s Coalition of Santa Barbara, numerous concerned individuals and local organizations are joining together for this pre-Halloween costume “protest” on State Street.
