RSVP Enough Bloodshed: End the Occupation
Saturday, March 17th 2007 9:00 a.m. Fort Collins, CO USA
Prior to a peace rally at Civic Center Park featuring Colorado Senate Majority Leader Ken Gordon and music by Jason Downing, Strength Through Peace (STP) will have an entry in the Fort Collins St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The theme is ending the US occupation in Iraq. We’ll have a truck with Bush and Cheney on trial, and several groups will march behind that. STP is putting out a call for entries. If you are willing to hit the street in a sincere and heartfelt desire to end the war please let us know. If you don’t have a group, we’ll help you find one or you’re welcome to create one. Examples would be:
Doctors, Lawyers, Merchant Chiefs, Veterans, Grannies, Musicians, Environmentalists, Social Workers, Unitarians, Congregationalists, Catholics, Lutherans, Quakers, Evangelicals, etc., Democrats, Greens, Libertarians, Republicans, Radical Cheerleaders, Bikers…and so on, all for peace and against this war.
We already have a contingent of doctors, youth, and strength through peace organizers. Don’t be left out!!!
This will all be happening on March 17th, starting at 10am (line up starts at 9am). Post-parade rally starts at 11:00 a.m. in Civic Center Park.
Location: Parade participants meet at corner of Mountain Avenue and Walnut Street
Rally takes place at Civic Center Park, corner of LaPorte Avenue and Howes Street. Fort Collins CO 80521
