Vigil for Abeer Hamza, Iraqi Girl Murdered by US Military
Saturday, August 19th 2006 7:30 pm
New York, NY USA

Join us on August 19th, 2006 for a Vigil in remembrance of Abeer Hamza. Abeer Hamza was a 14-year old Iraqi girl who was raped, murdered, and set on fire by US soldiers.

On August 19, Abeer would have turned 15. On that day, we want to honor her life and remember her death. In doing so, we hope that the horror she experienced while leaving the earth will be met with peace and mourning by those who denounce such violent crimes. We also hope to draw awareness to the current protocol for immunity for Multi-National Forces in Iraq.
