For further information about any event listed, please click on the event listing and contact the person and/or email address listed as the contact for the specific event.

Philadelphia Region Anti-War March and Rally
Saturday, February 15th 2003 Noon
Philadelphia, PA USA

No war on Iraq

End the sanctions, stop the current bombing, no further attack. No to the “endless war,” ROTC in our public schools, and other militarization, including the bombing in Viequez, and the US’s use of depleted uranium and other weapons of mass destruction. Stop media censorship of opposition to this war!

Money for people’s needs, not for war

$900 billion is squandered on global military budgets (nearly half by the US alone) while 1/10th of that would ensure the essentials of life to everyone in the world. This war for oil would cost us in the US up to $1.3 trillion and is paid for with cuts in education, healthcare, welfare, wages, environmental protections, housing, heating subsidies, and other benefits.

Restore civil liberties and immigrants’ rights

Abolish the USA-PATRIOT Act, mass registrations, detentions & deportations of immigrants, which are devastasting entire families and communities. An injury to one is an injury to all.

PRAWN (Philadelphia Regional Antiwar Network) is a network of diverse organizations and individuals opposed to this war. Please get involved!
