War With No End?

January 9th, 2008

War With No End book cover

For a limited time, those who sign up as new sustainers at the level of $10 per month or more will receive a copy of War With No End, our new anthology featuring Arundhati Roy, Naomi Klein, Phyllis Bennis and more, as a thank-you gift.

(War With No End is also available for purchase in our online storefront. 2008 Peace Calendars are still available as well -- now 25% off!)

War with no end? Absolutely not. In 2008, United for Peace and Justice and our more than 1400 member groups around the country will be doing everything we can think of to end the war in Iraq, prevent another war with Iran and reorient our country toward peaceful and just priorities.

We wholeheartedly thank those of you who contributed during our year-end donation campaign. Your support helps us move into this new year on solid footing and inspires our work every day.

Right now, we're working toward the events we have planned to mark the 5th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. We will be strongly supporting UFPJ member group Iraq Veterans Against the War and its Winter Soldier hearings, March 13-16, in Washington, DC,
where those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as Iraqis and Afghans, will tell the nation the real story of those wars. We're also organizing what we hope will be the largest nonviolent civil disobedience action yet against the war in Iraq on March 19 in Washington, and calling for and supporting local actions around the country on that day as well.

We have a long road ahead of us this year, and your ongoing support will help us face those challenges.Won't you consider becoming a UFPJ sustainer? By committing to make regular donations of $5, $10, 25, $50 per month or quarter, you give us the stability we need to plan our work in the critical coming months. Just visit our online donation page and choose the amount and frequency that you would like to donate. Your donation will be deducted automatically from your account according to the schedule you specify.

We recently collaborated with Verso Books and Stop the War UK Coaliton to publish an anthology examining the so-called "war on terror" and its consequences, featuring such critical voices as Arundhati Roy, Naomi Klein, John Berger, Phyllis Bennis and more. It's called "War With No End" and it's our gift to you if you sign up to be a sustainer at the level of $10 per month or more.(The book is also available for purchase through our online storefront for $14.)
