John Burroughs, Executive Director, Lawyer's Committee on Nuclear Policy
John Burroughs is a specialist on treaty regimes and international law relating to nuclear and other non-conventional weapons. Jacqueline Cabasso, Executive Director, Western States Legal Foundation
Jacqueline Cabasso has been the Executive Director of WSLF since 1984. She is a leading voice for nuclear weapons abolition, speaking at events across North America, Europe, and Asia.  She can be contacted at wslf (at) earthlink.org

Andrew Lichterman, Program Director, Western States Legal Foundation
Andrew Lichterman has been Western States Legal Foundation's Program Director since 1998.  Mr. Lichterman writes extensively on U.S. nuclear weapons and military space programs and their impacts on international arms control regimes and on prospects for disarmament, both in WSLF publications and for other outlets. He speaks frequently at public events on behalf of the organization.

Robert Naiman,  Senior Policy Analyst and National Coordinator, Just Foreign Policy
Robert Naiman has worked as a policy analyst and researcher at the Center for Economic and Policy Research and Public Citizen's Global Trade Watch. He has masters degrees in economics and mathematics from the University of Illinois and has studied and worked in the Middle East. Naiman produces the Just Foreign Policy daily news summary  and writes a blog on Huffington Post. He can be contacted at info[at]justforeignpolicy.org.

Rostam Pourzal, Campaign Against Sanctions and Military Intervention in Iran, Washington, DC. Since he retired from business in 2001, Rostam Pourzal has worked full-time in Washington, DC as an independent researcher and organizer for international peace and human rights. He holds a graduate degree in cultural anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, where he focused on modernization and social upheaval in Iran. He advocates direct and sustained dialog without pre-conditions between Iran and the United States for the good of both nations. Mr. Pourzal visits Iran regularly and has served on the boards of several Iranian-American organizations. He has been interviewed on dozens of well-known broadcasts, including Pacifica Radio, CNN International, Aljazeera, and MSNBC. He has also co-sponsored several goodwill delegations to Iran. Currently he heads the U.S. branch of the Campaign Against Sanctions and Military Intervention in Iran.

Michael Spies, Research Associate, Lawyer's Committee on Nuclear Policy
Michael Spies is a research associate for the Lawyers’ Committee on Nuclear Policy, New York. For the past three years he has carried out research and analysis projects for LCNP on topics ranging from the U.S. arms control/disarmament commitments under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to Iran’s nuclear program and its relationship with the IAEA. Contact johnburroughs (at) lcnp.org or call 212-818-1861

Catherine Thomasson, MD, Immediate Past President of Physicians for Social Responsibility, visited Iran as a peace diplomat and has written and spoken on Iran and the status of their nuclear program across the country.  She is organizing a tour of Iranian physicians to speak in the US on health care and the plight of chemical weapons victims in April 2008.  She lives in Portland, OR but is willing to speak on the west coast.  Contact Catherine at thomassonc (at) comcast.net or call 503-819-1170

Michael Veiluva, Counsel, Western States Legal Foundation

Leila Zand, Program Coordinator, www.forusa.org Fellowship of Reconciliation
Leila Zand was only six years old at the time of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and its aftermath, the Iran Iraq war. The experience of this war led her to study history, seeking the roots of peacemaking through the centuries. In 1999, Ms. Zand was left Iran along with her twin daughters. Upon settling in New York she began learning English and enrolled in the graduate program at CUNY, where she received a master's degree in Middle Eastern history in 2004. Presently Ms. Zand is a Ph.D. candidate at the State University of New York, Albany. Since her immigration to the United States, Leila has taught at colleges, and lectures at various academic settings, peace gatherings, and community organizations, all aimed at improving American's understanding of Iran. She intends to do all she can to prevent the possibility of another war, with Iran or any country in the Middle East.  Leila, currently is program coordinator at Fellowship Of Reconciliation, an interfaith organization.  Contact Leila at Iran(at)forusa.org
