The route starts out with us riding through East Harlem. We have a rest stop in Highbridge Park with a great view of of scenic Bronx. We continue through Harlem, ride down Riverside Drive and finish riding back up Central Park West with a finish at our starting location. In past years, we have received cheers along the way as we chant Money for Schools, Housing, Jobs, not war!
The general registration fee is $40, $25 student/low-income. Children under 18 ride free. All children under the age of 11 need to be either on a child seat on an adult bike or attached by tandem. Every rider gets a Pedal for Peace t-shirt to wear on the ride.
Riders are encouraged to solicit sponsors and will get their own on-line fundraising page making it easy for friends and family to donate. There are fundraising incentives that include an iPod shuffle for raising $1000.
