Victims of the Haditha Massacre

On Nov. 19, 2005, U.S. Marines allegedly killed 24 people in revenge for the death of one of their own, caused by an exploding IED. The 24 individuals, six of whom where aged 10 and under, were shot at point blank range.

To honor their memories, we have tried to assemble as much, and as accurate, information about them as possible, given the conflicting information reported by our sources (Al-Jazeera, New York Times, Washington Post) and variations in the transliteration of names from Arabic.

If you plan to hold a vigil to remember the victims of the Haditha massacre, click here to download these signs representing each of them (Word doc). The signs are very simple and can be enlarged or adapted as you wish.
