In our Spring call-to-action, UFPJ announced a series of coordinated peace and justices events leading up to a mass mobilization. One of the dates we have encouraged member groups to organize around is March 19. Who: Eastern Massachusetts Anti-Drone Network
What: Eastern Massachusetts Anti-Drones Network is holding a protest against drone warfare on Saturday, March 21 at Park Street Station at 1pm.  It will be a speak-out about the use of drones to kill people in far off places and in opposition to the Tuesday “kill list” meetings at the White House. Please join us to help stop all these wars for empire and global resources.

Who: Friend’s Meeting House
What: “The Costs of Endless War” is a public conversation led by two area experts, professor Faramarz Farbod and professor Doug Heath. Farbod teaches in the Political Science department at Moravian College and specializes in Middle East Politics. Heath, a conscientious objector, follows the anti-war movement closely and teaches Geography, Geology, and Environmental Studies at Northampton Community College, particularly focusing on war-torn countries. The speakers will talk about the devastating human, environmental, cultural, and economic costs of endless war, which will be followed by questions and conversation. We are also providing information to help and encourage participants to contact their elected officials.
